Ford of Canada announced yesterday it has become the first automaker to deliver hydrogen-powered vehicles for fleet use in Canada. Three fuel-cell shuttle buses have arrived on Parliament Hill, to be used by the Senate. The buses, equipped with 6.8-litre, V-10 engines made in Windsor, Ont., will produce near-zero emissions.
Forward-looking Canadians are not too far behind the government in their own efforts to wean themselves from their dependency on fossil fuels and clean up the air at the same time.
