Grabbing a cold one may soon do more than just quench your thirst. It also might help power your entire home. Ah, the power of beer.
Fosters Brewery in Australia announced yesterday that they are entering into a partnership with the University of Queensland to develop a microbial fuel cell powered entirely by beer waste. The process will 'digest' the beer and convert it into clean water and electricity generating 2 kw of power -- or enough energy to light up one household!
